Online learning options for the fall

Families wanting online options will need to consider a choice transfer
Posted on 07/05/2021

Tahoma will be returning to full in-person learning this fall. Some online options you and your family could consider are listed below. Please note this would require completing a Choice Transfer form with the Tahoma School District in order to release your student to enroll in another system. Additionally, you may want to be aware that students who are on Choice Transfers to an online option are not eligible to participate in athletics, clubs, or activities.

Potential options for an online experience include:

Columbia Virtual Academy (K-12)

https://www.cva.org/

Federal Way Internet Academy  (K-12)

https://www.iacademy.org/

Washington Virtual Academy (K-12)

https://wava.k12.com/

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list; other remote learning options are available. However, the above programs are ones that we have seen students from our system attend.

If this is the pathway your family selects, we encourage you to connect with a provider soon in order to begin the process, as they will reach their enrollment limit. Please know that we will welcome your student back to Tahoma at any time.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to connect with the Teaching and Learning Department via email at [email protected] or by phone at 425-413-3400.
